TO RUN A FULL SYSTEM SCAN (NORTON INTERNET SECURITY 2007 OR NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2007):

1) Double-click on the Norton Internet Security 2007 (NIS 2007) or Norton AntiVirus 2007 (NAV 2007) icon on the desktop.

2) Click on the Tasks & Scans tab.

3) Click on Run a Scan.

4) Click on Run Full System Scan.

5) Wait a few minutes, or up to an hour or more, depending on how many files you have on your computer.

6) When the results window comes up on the screen, click on the Attention Required tab, if the Attention Required window doesn’t automatically come up on the screen.

7) If you see any viruses, Trojans, adware or spyware listed in the results window, click on the Down Arrow button just to the right of Ignore or Exclude, then click on Fix for each item listed.

8) Click on the tiny green Right Arrow button next to Fix to apply the action.

Note: Or you can just wait for the Full System Scan to finish, then click on every Ignore or Exclude you see to change them to Fix, then click on the Apply Action button at the bottom.

9) When the NIS 2007 or NAV 2007 program has completed all of its actions (i.e., cleaned or removed every virus- or spyware-infected file that it can), click on the red Close (X) button at the upper right-hand corner of the NIS 2007 or NAV 2007 window.
